The former Head of Roscosmos Dmitri Rogozin was wounded after the shelling of a hotel in Donetsk on Wednesday.
Footage shows the damaged restaurant on the ground floor of the Shesh Besh Hotel.
Rogozin said the injury was not life-threatening while talking to RT .
"[I was] wounded in the back. I will live. The shell fragment [went] a centimetre from my spine," the former Head of Roscosmos said.
At the same time, the media, citing the district administration, reported that a total of two people were killed during the shelling of the Leninsky district of Donetsk.
The Ukrainian side has not officially commented on the shelling of Donetsk at the time of publication.
